How to reach the resort "St. Konstantin and Elena" and the Rest Home "Varna"of BAS
by public transport with buses 109 and 409
Bus 409 from airport
Outside Terminal 2 there is a bus waiting to take you to the centre of Varna and the Golden Sands resort. Travel time by bus number 409 to the centre of the city (Varna Cathedral) is 20 minutes, whereas travel time to Golden Sands is roughly 50 minutes. You can purchase tickets from a bus ticket machine located on the bus stops as well as in all public transport vehicles.
When purchasing a ticket from ticket machines at a bus stop, it is valid from the moment of issue and must be validated when boarding the bus/trolley, as well as at any transfer. When purchasing a ticket in the vehicle, validation is only required when transferring.
Another up-to-date possibility for traveling in the public transport of the municipality of Varna is the purchase of a transport document through the "TicketVarna" mobile application.
